I'm Nikhil, and I publish as Nick. TheLazyNick is my Ireland-based travel film and field-guide project. I make room for the story of a place and the practical choices that follow it: what to look for, which stops belong together and how to shape a day around your own interests.

The Copper Coast brings together my documentary, a written coastal guide, an editable route and English and Hindi audio storytelling. My Spiti motorcycle film records our eight-day ride from Chandigarh through Kinnaur to Chandrataal in 2024. Its companion story follows the actual day sequence, including the road disruption and mistakes, with original still frames from the trip.

How I make the guides

I build the interactive maps, collections and planning tools to help you go from watching to choosing a route. Other destination guides are researched editorial planning. Their bylines and source notes distinguish that work from a personal trip account. Official visitor and heritage sources support changing practical details, and the links let you check arrangements before travelling.

Images carry the appropriate credit beside the image or in its source record. An original video still is labelled with its film; third-party photographs retain their maker and required licence attribution, and generated illustrations remain labelled as illustrations. The provenance of a picture is separate from the authorship of the film or written guide.

The AI tools, tested series is another part of my publishing work: I compare practical tasks and check the results against evidence. Where a workflow uses AI assistance, the published work still needs editorial checking and clear distinctions between a demonstrated result and a product claim.
